The brief
An inbound-tourism destination needed to make its presence at a major international travel trade show actually convert — moving beyond a branded pavilion that collected business cards, to a structured B2B activation that delivered qualified meetings with tour operators, hosted-buyer programmes and onward distribution into the source market's travel-trade network.
What we did
We ran the destination's full presence at the trade show — pavilion design and on-stand experience, daily B2B buyer-meeting scheduling and management, hosted-buyer programme coordination with the show organisers, and a lead capture and follow-up system that handed qualified meetings to the destination's in-country trade team within hours. Pre-show outreach to a curated list of source-market tour operators warmed the buyers before they walked the floor. Post-show, follow-up sequences ran via email and WhatsApp to the buyer database, turning expo conversations into operator commitments.
The numbers
Why it worked
Most destination presences at trade shows die on the floor — beautiful pavilion, zero structure for converting walk-ups into pipeline. We treat trade-show activation as a B2B sales motion, not a branding exercise. Pre-show buyer outreach, on-show meeting management and post-show follow-up are the three gates that decide whether the budget paid back. Run them as a system, and a trade-show booth becomes a measurable inbound-tourism channel.
