Brand Strategy & Consulting
We start where every great campaign begins — with strategy.
Most agencies treat strategy as a slide at the front of a creative deck. We treat it as a separate engagement, with its own outputs, its own timelines and its own meetings with the client's leadership team. Because if the strategy is wrong, no amount of clever creative or sharp media buying will rescue the year.
Brand strategy at Salt N Pepper means looking at the brand the way an outside investor would look at it. What does this brand actually stand for? Who is it for, specifically? What's the next two-to-three years of growth supposed to look like? Where are the gaps between what the brand says about itself and what its customers experience? We bring brand audits, competitive landscape mapping, primary research, persona building and customer journey design together into a single coherent frame.
The output is not a poster on a wall. It's a working document — a brand book, a messaging framework, a go-to-market playbook and an annual marketing calendar — that the rest of the agency (and the rest of the client's team) refers back to every week.

How we measure it

Frequently asked questions
Brand strategy answers what the brand stands for, who it's for and why it matters — the positioning. Marketing strategy answers how that positioning gets executed in market — the channel mix, calendar and budget. We do both, but never in the same document.
A standalone brand audit and positioning project takes 6–8 weeks. A full strategy plus annual plan typically runs 10–12 weeks. Faster is possible for tactical refreshes; slower means we're probably solving the wrong problem.
If you're launching a new category, yes — the cost of building campaigns on the wrong positioning compounds quickly. If you're an established brand running specific tactical campaigns, sometimes a lightweight refresh is enough. We'll tell you which during a chemistry call.
